Caught, New Envelope Returned?
The statement by the Acting Director of Corruption Eradication Commission Investigations, Achmad Taufik Husein, that the return of the envelope by the Minister of Forestry, Raja Juli Antoni, after two weeks to Suhardiman Amby, the Regent of Kuantan Singingi, who is currently a suspect and detained by the Corruption Eradication Commission, does not erase the crime, is quite encouraging.
This means that the case of returning the envelope will still be investigated.
Achmad Taufik Husein said that he would place the position of giving and returning the envelope by (and from) Raja Juli Antoni to (and from) Suhardiman Amby in the context of the case, then examine it further.
Whether it is related to King Juli Antoni or not depends on the evidence later. This is a standard statement from law enforcement when a high-ranking official is suspected of being involved in a case.
In fact, from a layman's perspective, it is impossible for the gift and return to be unrelated to the context of the case.
Because, can something be given or returned, without having anything to gain? Given and returned, the position is the same.
Isn't this because he was caught? Otherwise, how could there be a return process after two weeks have passed, which seems heroic?
That's why, in my opinion, Achmad Taufik Husein's statement is no longer a signal to the Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni and the Regent of Kuantan Singingi Suhardiman Amby whether they are involved or not, but a signal to those behind it.
It could be President Prabowo Subianto or someone who is currently seriously fighting to grow PSI, namely Joko Widodo alias Jokowi.
Achmad Taufik Husein needs to convey the signal that returning the envelope does not erase the criminal act at all, so that later the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) does not appear to be sneaking around without kulonuwun (excuse me).
KPK investigators could be waiting for a response to these signals. If it's not strong, then it means asking for it. But if it is strong, how strong the response is, of course the KPK will study it?
It seems that President Prabowo no longer cares about these signals. This has been proven by the arrest of the Head and Deputy Head of BGN, as well as their subordinates.
Moreover, the Minister of Forestry, Raja Juli Antoni, has received notes related to this several times. For example, sitting at the same table as a former forest destroyer, the disaster that occurred in Sumatra, and the case of returning this envelope.
This means, if you have a problem, please process it without discrimination.
Jokowi's experience in leading means that things like this will not be allowed to pass by.
In fact, it is not impossible that the process of returning the envelope itself is a strong response that this must be "saved".
This is high-level politics that is completely dark. Everything can only be touched, not seen clearly and with the naked eye.
Therefore, everything comes back to the KPK. The guts are still there or not. If things like the confiscation of billions from the house of Ahmad Ali, PSI's daily chairman, have not been heard about until now, how will we investigate the return of the envelope from Raja Juli Antoni?
It is not impossible that the case of returning the envelope will be covered by other corruption cases. And that's already happening, apparently now.
