If we look at the history of religion, differences in sects are not actually something that just appeared in a short time. After a teaching develops into different regions and societies, various ways of understanding texts, history, traditions and life issues emerge. Differences in language, culture, political conditions and the thoughts of religious figures can also influence the way a teaching is understood. From this long process, groups were finally formed that had a certain emphasis or understanding.
In my opinion, differences like this need to be looked at with a cool head. Not all differences automatically mean one side has no basis, and not all different groups should be treated as enemies. There are differences that involve basic principles, but there are also those that only relate to how to carry out traditions or understand certain issues. The most important thing is to distinguish between religious discussions and actions that demean or hurt other people.
History also shows that when differences in religious identity are mixed with political interests, power, or social conflict, the problem can become much more complicated. Therefore, in my opinion, understanding the history of the emergence of various sects can actually help someone become wiser. We can continue to hold our own beliefs without having to consider everyone who is different as a threat.
