If you are used to seeing petrol motorbikes, you will immediately notice that there is one part that is missing when you see an electric motorbike: the exhaust. But it's actually not because the factory forgot to install it.
Electric motors do not produce exhaust gas from the fuel combustion process, because they use an electric motor that gets energy from the battery. So, there is no need to channel the combustion products like in a gasoline engine.
Interestingly, the removal of the exhaust also makes the design of electric motorbikes more flexible. The space usually used for the exhaust system can be used for other components, while the motor sound is also much quieter.
But an electric motorbike doesn't mean it's maintenance free. The battery system, electric motor, brakes, tires, suspension and electrical components still need to be checked so that the vehicle remains safe and works well.
