Every industry almost certainly has a side that is rarely seen from the outside. The public usually only sees the finished product or service, while the process behind it can be much more complicated. There are target pressures, competition, business decisions that are not always popular, internal problems, and compromises that customers may never know about. But I think calling all these things "dark secrets" also requires caution because not all internal information means there is something illegal or being deliberately hidden. Many things are not published because they relate to business strategy, employee privacy, security, or company agreements.
If someone has worked in an industry, their experience can certainly provide a more real picture than what is seen from the outside. But there is a line between sharing experiences and leaking confidential information that could harm the company or other people. In fact, an interesting thing that can be discussed is how public expectations often differ from the reality behind the scenes. Jobs that seem easy may have a lot of pressure, while industries that seem very profitable may not always run smoothly. So, rather than looking for sensational "dark secrets," I'm more interested in understanding parts of the industry that are rarely talked about but can still be discussed honestly without breaching confidentiality.
