Surya Paloh Highlights the Government: If You Don't Want to Be Corrected, That's Bad!

The General Chair of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, highlighted various current government policies.

Paloh initially spoke about the NasDem Party's position regarding government policy.

"The first thing I say, that is the entire government policy, where the NasDem Party is part of a coalition party, so you have to be loyal to it," said Paloh to journalists at the Mercure Hotel, Ancol, North Jakarta, Wednesday (22/7/2026).

Paloh said he had a number of thoughts and corrections he wanted to convey to the government.

"There are thoughts that perhaps we need to contribute, which may not mean that everything fits and is correct with what is happening as we understand it," said Paloh.

"But I think it is not for public consumption for the time being. I prefer to put my ideas, thoughts, suggestions and views on a person-to-person basis to make corrections if necessary," he continued.

Furthermore, Paloh believes that the government is still on the right track if it wants to listen to criticism or input.

"Whatever it is, I think I still have hope as long as corrections are continuously carried out. We are moving towards being on the right track, yes. However, if we no longer want corrections and don't want improvements, then that's just serious," said Paloh.
