Wounds Can Also Be a Source of Strength

There are wounds that we may never truly forget. We just learn to live with it without continuing to let it control the steps. In the past, I might have thought of wounds as something that made a person weak, but it turns out that's not always the case. There are experiences that destroy us temporarily, make us lose confidence, make us afraid to start again, and even make us ask why it all had to happen. But from there something often emerges that we didn't have before, namely resilience. We become more careful in choosing people, value time more, understand our own feelings better, and no longer easily take other people's struggles for granted. Wounds don't always have to be hidden as if they never happened. Sometimes admitting that we have been hurt is actually part of the process of making peace with the past. Maybe the experience cannot be changed, but the way we perceive it can. And when one day we look back without feeling broken, we will realize that the wounds we once wanted to avoid actually helped make us stronger.
