Tonight I Tried My Luck Again On Reddit And Quora.

I have been trying to build a small presence on both platforms for the last few weeks, mostly just sharing my thoughts and trying to be helpful. It sounds simple, but it has been way more frustrating than I expected. A few hours ago, I spent almost an hour writing a detailed comment on Reddit. I really thought about it, I checked the rules, I tried to make it sound natural and not like spam. I posted it, felt good for about two minutes, and then I refreshed the page. It was gone. Deleted by the moderators. No real explanation, just gone. That feeling is honestly the worst. You put in the effort, you try to contribute something useful, and the platform just erases it like it never happened. It makes you question if it is even worth trying. The same thing happened on Quora. I found a question that I actually knew the answer to. I wrote a thoughtful response, about three paragraphs. When I tried to paste it, the text box was just empty. I tried again. Empty. I ended up having to type the whole thing manually on my phone, which took forever. My thumbs were hurting and I was just getting more annoyed. For a moment, I just wanted to close my laptop and quit. I thought, why am I even doing this? I am tired from my classes, I have assignments to do, and I am wasting my evening fighting with websites that keep deleting my work. But then I took a short break. I made some coffee, walked around my room, and thought about why I started in the first place. I did not start because it was easy. I started because I wanted to learn how to communicate better and to share what I know, even if it is small. So I came back and tried again. This time I kept it simpler. On Reddit, I went to a smaller community for beginners where people are actually supportive. I left two short, honest comments. No links, no promotion, just trying to be part of the conversation. And surprisingly, they stayed. No deletion. Someone even upvoted one of them. On Quora, I also tried a different approach. Instead of writing a long essay, I wrote a short, personal answer based on my own experience. Just three sentences, very natural, like I was talking to a friend. I posted it and waited. It stayed. It even got one view within a few minutes. It is a small win, but after being deleted all day, that one view felt huge. I am learning that these platforms are not about being perfect. They are about being consistent and learning the culture of each community. Reddit has strict moderators and Quora has a weird system, but if you respect their rules and act like a real person, not a marketer, they will eventually let you in. I am still tired tonight, and I am sure some of my future posts will still get deleted. That is just part of the process. But tonight I learned that showing up again after being rejected is the real skill. It is frustrating, but it is also kind of rewarding when something finally sticks. I will keep trying tomorrow. Maybe it will be a little easier. #zoyalink #reddit #quora #sidehustles #motivated #fyp
