The signing was carried out by representatives of residents, the Siwalan Village Government, and the company, witnessed by elements of Forkopimcam, BPD, farmer groups, community leaders, and youth representatives.
Previously, hundreds of residents held an action demanding resolution of irrigation problems, environmental impacts, and compensation for affected farmers.
"All 10 demands from the community have been fulfilled by PT Arunika Jaya Tekstil," said the representative of Dukuh Krengseng residents, Lanang Mulyono.
The Head of Siwalan Village, Pujiana, said that the points of agreement include waste water treatment according to standards, arrangement of irrigation channels, and compensation for farmers.
"We will continue to monitor it. We will consult frequently with the PT so that all agreements are actually implemented," he said.
The minutes also state the consequences if the company refuses: residents will hold a bigger action and close all development activities.
The representative of PT Arunika Jaya Tekstil, Bambang Priyanto, hopes that this agreement will be the start of a harmonious relationship.
