On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia and PT Eurokars Produksi Pratama officially inaugurated the Mazda Indonesia Plant in Citeureup, Bogor. The new assembly facility marks a significant milestone in Mazda's commitment to the Indonesian automotive market while expanding its local manufacturing capabilities.
The plant has been developed to meet global manufacturing standards and incorporates strict quality control throughout every stage of production. Mazda stated that every vehicle assembled at the facility is built to the same quality standards applied to its products worldwide.
The first model to be assembled at the new plant is the Mazda CX-30. Local production is expected to improve supply efficiency, shorten delivery times for customers, and create opportunities for additional Mazda models to be assembled in Indonesia in the future.
The opening of the facility also reflects growing confidence among global automakers in Indonesia's manufacturing sector. Besides expanding investment, the plant is expected to create new employment opportunities, enhance the skills of the local workforce, and strengthen the country's automotive supply chain.
Mazda's latest investment highlights the continued growth of Indonesia's automotive industry and supports the country's ambition to become an increasingly competitive vehicle manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia.0
