Pekalongan Police - Central Java Regional Police - Pekalongan Police personnel showed a quick response after receiving a public report regarding an elderly man lying in the Border Monument area, Karanganyar District-Kajen District, Pekalongan Regency, Sunday (26/7/2026).
The incident started when four teenagers who were running for exercise saw a man lying around the border monument.
Following up on the report, Samapta personnel together with the Pekalongan Police Traffic Unit picket immediately moved to the location to confirm the victim's condition and provide assistance.
After checking, the police then took the elderly person to the Kedungwuni Police.
Based on the search results, the elderly person is suspected of having a habit of leaving the house without saying goodbye to his family.
Pekalongan Police Chief AKBP Rachmad C. Yusuf, S.I.K., M.Si through the Head of Public Penmas Sihumas Ipda Warsito, S.H appreciated the concern of the community who immediately reported the findings so that handling could be carried out quickly.
"We would like to thank the community who cared and immediately reported the incident. The quick response from residents really helped us in providing assistance to the victim. We also appeal to families who have elderly members with certain conditions to increase supervision so that similar incidents can be prevented," said Ipda Warsito.
He added that the Pekalongan Police will continue to provide fast service to every public report, especially those related to life safety.
"We are committed to providing the best service to the community. We will immediately act on any information that comes in to maintain security, safety and provide a sense of security to residents," he concluded.See More
