If I had to name one of the world's most spectacular mountain roads, Trollstigen in Norway would definitely be on my list. It's much more than a route between destinations—it's an attraction that people travel from around the world to experience.
The name Trollstigen means "The Troll's Path." The road features eleven dramatic hairpin bends winding through steep mountains, with towering cliffs on one side and lush green valleys on the other. From above, it looks like a ribbon carefully wrapped around the mountainside.
Every section of the drive offers something new. Waterfalls cascade down rocky cliffs, rivers flow through the valley below, and mist often drifts across the mountain peaks, creating scenery that feels almost cinematic.
