This is because according to Prabowo it doesn't make sense because we are the ones who produce the world's strategic commodities, but instead other countries determine the prices, for example palm oil is determined by Malaysia and the Netherlands, nickel and cobalt by China and even coal is determined by China even though they are one of the largest consumers in the world which requires coal imports.

"It's better that those commodities, that nickel, that tin, that gold are all in the ground for our children and grandchildren,"
That was a very firm statement from Prabowo observing this phenomenon which is not profitable for Indonesia, we should be the producers and the ones who own the goods, but the ones who buy them are the ones who determine the prices. If the trading model is like that, not only is the buyer the king, but he is above the king.
So Prabowo wants the value of our export commodities to be determined by ourselves, not by other people, other countries or institutions abroad. Prabowo, as revealed by Tirto media (14/8), continued that not only palm oil and coal, but everything like gas and oil and others, Indonesia does not need to rush to sell if the price is not profitable.
